So, why do we get these nagging, achy chronic injuries and aches and pains in our necks, knees, hips, glutes and shoulders? The answer is simple: Stabilization.

Know this isn’t the entire answer but it’s a huge part of it. When you have a chronic injury, odds are you’re body is stabilizing that joint in the wrong position.

This throws off the muscles and creates different, unbalanced tensions across them and makes them scream and ultimately, it pinches nerves and can hurt your joints. So what do you do?

You go to Physio and Chiro and they re-align things, you get some relief and then you go back to the movements that were causing the problem and stabilize in the wrong position only to repeat the cycle.

Your physical body has an amazing memory. It’s what allows you to repeat your golf swing over and over whether it’s good or bad. Unfortunately, this can also keep a chronic ache and pain going despite repeat treatments.

Luckily, once you learn how to re-stabilize the joint in the right position, the aches and pains can often be resolved.

This is exactly the kind of thing we do for ALL of my clients. Every one of them has had a sore knee, achy hip or tight shoulder. We show them how to improve their movements and things calm down and in many cases go away.

Now before this sounds too airy fairy, you still may need Physio or a similar treatment. This is just to re-align things and then we go to work on correcting the faulty movements that are causing the issue so it won’t re-occur.

Because Trainers aren’t covered, most people just use Physios or Massage for treatment. Because those therapists aren’t as versed in correcting faulty movement patterns when someone squats, lunges or works at a computer, people rarely fully correct their issue.

Keep in mind this doesn’t take many sessions to solve. If you’re dealing with sore knees, a tight lower back or a hip flexor that just won’t let go, we can definitely help you solve your muscle mystery!
